It's no secret that I have a special relationship with owls. Over the last couple years, since my husband started calling me OwLeigh as a pet name, owls have become a very powerful Spirit Animal for me.
When I chose the owl as the mascot/theme for this new website, I did so instinctively, because it felt so right to align my website with the animal that makes my heart flip a little happy every time it comes into my world. Then, I googled "Owl Totem" and here is a sampling of what I found:
"These birds love to sit quiet and still so that they can observe their surroundings. Therefore, the owl symbolism indicates that you may need to remove yourself from the noise of life. Take a moment to become meditative and silently observe your surroundings. " (https://www.spirit-animals.com/owl-symbolism/)
"When the owl is your SPIRIT ANIMAL, it means you are connected to ancietn wisdom and magic." (https://alltotems.com/spirit-animals/owl-symbolism-meaning/)
"The owl is the representative of intuitive knowledge, it provides you the power to see the hidden truth of things that other people are unable to." (https://www.spiritualunite.com/articles/white-owl-meaning/)
All in all, it makes sense to me that OWLS teach us about turning within and trusting our inner wisdom as our greatest guidance and source. We are all a vast wealth of experience and knowledge from our own lives and the collective genetic history of our ancestors. To tap into that wisdom by turning within and truly listening to self is the greatest education life can offer.
An owl is the epitome of using all its senses to their greatest skill. For example, an owl can zoom its vision out to a great big picture, and also focus in on the tiniest detail at the same time. An owl can hear the near silent scurry of its prey amidst the loudest rumble of wind. An owl can fly soundlessly, undetectable through the night sky, merging itself with wind and air in vast openness and possibility.
The talents of OWL are countless and massive, providing limitless spiritual medicine to humans who revere the owl magic.
